How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new company
    Our client is a high-growth organisation operating within the leadership development and private equity space. Working with senior executives and leadership teams, they provide a unique platform that supports business leaders through periods of growth, transformation and investment. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their London-based team.
    Your new role
    As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to conversion. This is a relationship-led consultative sales role where you will work closely with senior stakeholders, building long-term partnerships and developing business opportunities.Key responsibilities include:

    Managing inbound and marketing-generated leads through the sales process
    Conducting discovery calls and qualifying opportunities
    Generating new business through targeted outreach campaigns
    Building relationships with senior executives and business leaders
    Using LinkedIn and other channels to identify and engage prospective clients
    Attending networking and industry events to develop opportunities and build relationships
    Maintaining accurate pipeline information and CRM records
    Identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships and increase revenueWhat you'll need to succeed

    2-5 years' experience within a B2B sales or business development environment
    Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and deliver against targets
    Strong communication and relationship-building skills
    Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
    A proactive, driven and commercially focused approach
    Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
    Confidence using LinkedIn and digital outreach methods to generate opportunitiesExperience within professional services, membership organisations, learning and development, executive networks or consultative sales environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
