How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Special Needs Teacher - Mainstream Primary School, Wandsworth

    Start date: September 2026
    Location: Wandsworth, South West London
    Contract: Full-time role for the year.
    Role: Special Needs Teacher based in an ARP
    School type: Community primary school
    Salary: £180 -£260 depending on experience

    More about the role:

    As the special needs teacher responsible for 10 SEND children and at least 2 or 3 teaching assistants, you will have confidence:

    Delivering high-quality, personalised teaching for pupils with autism and speech, language and communication needs.
    Create a structured, calm and engaging learning environment in which children feel safe and ready to learn.
    Adapt the primary curriculum, resources and teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
    Use assessment effectively to identify next steps, set ambitious targets and demonstrate progress.
    Contribute to education, health and care plans and participating in annual reviews.
    Support pupils' communication, independence, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
    Work collaboratively with parents, carers, therapists, the SENCO and other professionals.
    Promote inclusion and helping pupils participate meaningfully in the wider life of the school.
    Maintain high standards of safeguarding, professional conduct and record keeping.As the successful Special Needs teacher it will be to your advantage if you have experience of visual communication systems, sensory -informed practice, structured teaching or alternative communication.
