How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Fawkes & Reece are working with a reputable housebuilder to recruit an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a fast-paced 180-unit traditional build residential development in Congleton on a long-term basis.

You will be working as a vital part of a busy site management team, assisting with the day-to-day delivery of high-quality traditional build houses. You will be responsible for monitoring multiple plots daily and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with demanding programme targets and quality standards.

This is a great opportunity to join an established management team on a large-scale development where keeping multiple plots progressing and staying ahead of programme will be key. Previous experience working on traditional build housing developments is essential to perform well within this role.

    Main Duties will consist of:

Assisting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development, monitoring multiple plots and ensuring works remain on programme in a fast-paced site environment.

Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and site operatives, ensuring labour, materials and plant are available when required. You will need to identify potential delays quickly and work with the site team to keep the development moving.

Carrying out regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality and health and safety, ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and required standards. Keeping on top of the various stages of construction across multiple plots, from groundworks through to finishing, while maintaining programme and quality expectations.

Completing relevant site paperwork, inspections and reports and assisting with snagging and general site management duties as required.

The successful candidate will require a strong background in traditional build housing and be comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment. You must be organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities while working to tight deadlines.

This role will suit an Assistant Site Manager who thrives in a busy site environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities and is confident taking ownership of their responsibilities within a large-scale development.

    Qualifications:

    CSCS
    SSSTS
First Aid (ideal but not essential)
MUST have previous experience working on traditional build housing developments that we can reference

If you are an experienced Assistant Site Manager with a proven background in traditional housebuilding and are looking for an opportunity to work on a fast-paced 180-unit development in Congleton, please submit your most up-to-date CV and apply now.
