How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Title: Part-time Operations Coordinator

    Hours: 3 days, 16.5 hours per week - office based

    Are you an organised, approachable person who enjoys a varied role where people, administration and practical problem-solving come together?

    We’re recruiting for an established local organisation looking for someone to support the smooth day-to-day running of its premises and provide a friendly, professional point of contact for the people who use them.

    Working alongside an experienced Manager, this is a varied position combining administration, property coordination and people contact – ideal for someone who enjoys taking responsibility and being part of a small, supportive team.

    Responsibilities will include:

    * Providing a friendly and professional point of contact

    * Handling enquiries and maintaining accurate records

    * Coordinating maintenance and liaising with contractors

    * Supporting routine Health & Safety and premises checks

    * Keeping property and compliance documentation up to date

    * Assisting with the preparation and organisation of accommodation/premises

    * Providing general operational and administrative support to the Manager

    * Responding calmly and practically when unexpected situations arise

    There is also an out-of-hours rota associated with the position, which we’ll explain fully during the recruitment process.

    We’re looking for someone who is warm, organised and practical, with:

    * Strong administration and organisational skills

    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    * Confidence working independently and using your own judgement

    * Good Microsoft Office/IT skills

    * A proactive, solution-focused approach

    * An understanding of confidentiality

    * A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

    Experience within property, housing, facilities, Health & Safety or a similar environment would be useful, but isn’t essential. Strong transferable skills and the right approach are equally important.

    Hours & benefits

    The role is 16.5 hours across three days. Friday availability is important, with some flexibility around the remaining working days.

    Salary is approximately £14,700 per annum (c £17.00 per hour), with a generous holiday allowance.

    A DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.

    Interested?

    If you’re looking for a rewarding part-time position offering plenty of variety, responsibility and people contact, we’d love to hear from you.
