Tradewind Education is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to join our growing pool of supply staff, supporting a range of secondary partnership schools across Doncaster and the surrounding areas.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent. You will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared work and ensure students remain engaged, focused and well behaved throughout the lesson.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor working through Tradewind Education, you may be offered:
Day-to-day supply assignments to fit around your availability.
Short-term placements across a range of secondary schools.
Long-term assignments providing greater consistency and continuity.

Key Responsibilities
As a Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
Supervising students in the absence of their usual classroom teacher.
Delivering and explaining pre-prepared lesson materials and activities.
Ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their learning.
Maintaining a positive, safe and productive classroom environment.
Managing behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policies and expectations.
Taking attendance and reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate member of staff.
Providing appropriate support to students where required.
Ensuring classroom resources and equipment are used appropriately.
Following school policies and procedures at all times.
Building positive and professional relationships with students and school staff.
Providing feedback to the relevant teacher or department where appropriate.
Requirements
We are looking for Cover Supervisors who are:
Confident and comfortable working with secondary-aged students.
Able to manage classroom behaviour calmly and effectively.
Reliable, punctual and professional.
Enthusiastic about supporting young people and their education.
Able to communicate clearly with students and staff.
Adaptable and confident working in different school environments.
Able to follow lesson plans and school procedures effectively.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Ideally experienced in a school, education or youth setting, although applications from candidates with relevant transferable experience are welcome.A degree or relevant qualification is desirable but not essential, depending on the role and school requirements.
