How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some TIG welding or fabrication experience who is looking to develop their skills within a specialist manufacturing environment. You should have:

Basic TIG welding experience or relevant fabrication experience.
The ability to read and understand technical drawings.
    Good practical and mathematical skills.
Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
    Good hand-tool and workshop skills.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
    Good communication skills.
A reliable and professional approach to work.
Experience in steel windows and doors, architectural metalwork or precision fabrication would be advantageous but is not essential.

A Level 2/3 Welding & Fabrication qualification, or equivalent experience, would also be beneficial.

    What’s on Offer?

£14.00–£14.50 per hour, depending on experience.
    Permanent, full-time position.
    Monday to Friday working week.
    41.5 hours per week.
    Full training and development.
Tiered pay structure with opportunities for progression.
    Company-provided tools and equipment.
    Pension scheme.
28 days' annual leave including bank holidays.
    Your birthday off.
Long-term career opportunity within a growing specialist manufacturer.
If you're looking to build a long-term career in TIG welding and fabrication and want the opportunity to develop your skills within a specialist manufacturing environment, we'd like to hear from you
