How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

We're looking for an exceptional Senior Executive Assistant to provide high-level executive support to our Chief Executive Officer and Executive Management Team. This is a pivotal role at the heart of the organisation, ensuring the smooth running of executive operations while coordinating key projects, meetings and stakeholder engagement.

You'll be a trusted partner to the CEO, managing competing priorities with discretion, professionalism and excellent organisational skills. Working closely with senior leaders, Board members and external stakeholders, you'll help ensure our leadership team can focus on delivering our strategic priorities and making a positive difference to the people we serve.

    What you'll be doing

    - Manage the CEO's complex diary, priorities, travel and executive administration.
    -  Support Board and Committee administration, working closely with the Company Secretary.
    - Coordinate conferences, strategy events and senior stakeholder visits.
    - Build effective relationships with Board members, The Salvation Army and external partners.
    - Provide project support across strategic and cross-organisational initiatives.
    - Handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute professionalism.

    What you'll bring

    - Significant experience providing executive support at senior leadership or Executive Team level.
    - Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
    - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
    - Outstanding attention to detail, discretion and sound judgement.
    - Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
    - A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach, with a commitment to our values and mission.
    - Experience within housing or the charitable sector would be advantageous.
    Working Arrangements
This is a hybrid role with regular attendance at our London office with monthly travel to regional offices and events across England. Flexibility is required, including occasional evening or weekend meetings.

    Our Offer

In return, we offer a competitive and supportive benefits package, including:

    - 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 31 days
    - Westfield Healthcare Cash Back Plan
    - Employer pension contributions of up to 6%
    - Enhanced family leave and occupational sick pay
    - Paid volunteering days
    - Cycle to Work Scheme
    - Discounted private medical insurance
    - Learning and development opportunities
    - A supportive, inclusive culture where everyone can thrive

    Apply now

If you're an experienced Executive Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a sense of humour and is confidential and approachable, Lynne (CEO) would love to hear from you.

Interviews for the role will be taking place on Friday 4 September at the Salvation Army THQ in London.

(Please note we may close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applications)
