How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Fawkes & Reece are pleased to be partnering with a reputable housebuilder who are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a 190-unit timber frame residential development in Manchester on an ongoing basis.

You will be a key part of the project team, taking ownership of the daily site operations and overall delivery of the development. You will be responsible for ensuring plots advance safely, efficiently and in accordance with the agreed programme, quality standards and company requirements.

You will monitor build standards, workmanship and health & safety across the site, with particular emphasis on timber frame installation, sequencing and the building envelope.

The position will involve overseeing plot progression through all key stages, including timber frame erection, roofing, external envelope, 1st and 2nd fix, finishing works and final handover. You will liaise closely with the wider project team, timber frame contractor and subcontractors to identify potential challenges and implement solutions to minimise any impact on programme, quality or delivery.

You will also be responsible for keeping accurate site documentation, short-term programmes and targets, inspection records and progress updates. A strong focus on workmanship, site standards, health & safety and overall build quality will be expected throughout the development.
