How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    WAREHOUSE MANAGER

    Location: Chessington, Surrey
    Salary: £37,500 – £42,500 per annum
    Permanent | Full-time

We are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join a busy and growing operation based in Chessington. This is a key role within the business, responsible for leading the warehouse team and ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient running of all warehouse activities.

    The Role

As Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the full warehouse operation, from goods in and stock control through to picking, packing, order fulfilment and dispatch. You will ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time, including domestic and international shipments.

You will lead and develop the warehouse team, creating a positive and accountable working environment where safety, productivity and customer service are priorities.

The role will also involve planning warehouse resources, managing stock levels and inventory accuracy, monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency. You will work closely with Purchasing, Sales, Finance and Senior Management to support operational planning and the continued growth of the business.

Health and safety will be a key part of the role, ensuring the warehouse operates in line with legislation, company procedures and safe working practices. You will also oversee warehouse equipment, housekeeping, security and general operational standards.

    About You

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader with a strong understanding of warehouse operations, goods inward, stock control and dispatch.

You will be a confident people manager with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team, while also being willing to get involved and lead from the front when required.

Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You should also have experience managing warehouse KPIs, operational reporting and warehouse management systems.

Desirable experience includes a Forklift Truck Licence, knowledge of Dangerous Goods/IATA regulations, international shipping and export documentation, or experience with Lean/continuous improvement projects.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional looking for a hands-on management role where they can make a real impact, develop a team and drive improvements across the operation.

WE Talent acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.

We are committed to creating inclusive recruitment processes and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We believe diverse teams bring broader perspectives, stronger ideas and better outcomes, and we encourage applications from anyone who meets the key requirements of the role
