How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    At AO, we're all about keeping things simple, doing the right thing and making life easy for our customers and our people.
    We're looking for an experienced MHE Trainer to join our busy logistics operation in Crewe. Whether you're an established MHE Instructor or you've previously held an instructor qualification and are looking to get back into training, we'd love to hear from you.
    This is a fantastic opportunity to use your expertise to develop colleagues, improve safety standards and help create high-performing teams across our operation.
    We have opportunities available on Nights working a 12-hour shift pattern.
    Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
    As an Operational Trainer, you'll play a vital role in developing our people and ensuring they have the skills, knowledge and confidence to work safely and effectively.
    You'll:
    * Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based training
    * Lead inductions for new starters and agency colleagues
    * Train, assess and re-certify colleagues on MHE equipment
    * Support compliance with health and safety standards across the site
    * Maintain accurate training records and certification data
    * Work closely with Operational, HR and Health & Safety teams
    * Identify opportunities to improve training effectiveness and operational performance
    * Ensure mandatory training requirements are completed across your shift
    A Few Things About You
    We're looking for someone who is passionate about developing others, confident in front of groups and able to adapt their approach to suit different learning styles.
    Essential
    * Full UK Driving Licence
    * Experience operating MHE within a warehouse or logistics environment
    * Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
    * Experience delivering practical training and coaching
    * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
    Qualifications
    * Accredited MHE Instructor qualification (RTITB, ITSSAR or AITT) preferred
    Previously held an MHE Instructor qualification that's now expired? Don't let that stop you applying. We're happy to speak with experienced candidates and support the right person in becoming up to date and operational again.
    Desirable
    * Manual Handling Instructor qualification
    * Level 3 Assessing qualification (or equivalent)
    * Experience within a fast-paced warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
