How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Ready to take ownership of a high-potential sales territory across the South of the UK?

Niche Recruitment is partnering with BSE UK Limited, an established specialist in warehouse storage, racking and space optimisation solutions, to recruit a Business Development Manager covering the South of the UK. This is a role for someone who enjoys creating opportunities rather than simply managing existing accounts. You'll be out in the market identifying businesses that are expanding, relocating, reconfiguring or looking to get more from their warehouse space – then developing those conversations into commercially valuable projects.

BSE UK has more than 50 years' industry experience and provides much more than racking. Its team works consultatively with customers to design and deliver complete warehouse storage solutions, combining technical expertise, space planning and project delivery.

You'll have the autonomy to develop your own territory and pipeline, backed by an experienced technical and project team who can turn opportunities into fully designed solutions.

The role is field based and focused on the South of the UK, so we're flexible on where you're based within the territory.

    What you'll be doing

Developing new business opportunities across the South of England within warehousing, logistics, distribution, fulfilment and industrial environments.

Building your own pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals and market intelligence.

Engaging with senior decision-makers including Operations Directors, Supply Chain leaders, Facilities Managers, Procurement teams and business owners.

Identifying upcoming warehouse moves, expansions, refurbishments, reconfigurations and optimisation projects.

Understanding a customer's operational challenges and working with BSE UK's technical team to develop the right solution.

Building relationships that turn initial conversations into long-term commercial partnerships.

Managing opportunities effectively through the CRM, maintaining visibility of activity, pipeline and forecasts.

Working closely with design, technical and project delivery colleagues from initial enquiry through to handover.

    What we're looking for

We're interested in speaking with commercially driven sales professionals who know how to open doors, develop relationships and win new business.

You may already work within warehouse racking or storage solutions, but we're equally interested in people selling into similar operational environments, including:

    Material handling and MHE

    Warehouse automation and intralogistics

    Industrial equipment or services

    Warehouse or commercial fit-out

    Facilities management

    Construction and refurbishment

    Logistics and supply chain solutions

    Interested?

If you're currently selling into warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or industrial environments and want a role where you'll have the freedom to build a territory and genuinely influence growth, we'd like to hear from you.

You don't necessarily need to come directly from the racking industry. If you understand complex B2B sales, know how to create opportunities and are comfortable selling into operational environments, apply today or contact Niche Recruitment for a confidential conversation.

You'll need a demonstrable track record of developing new business and managing a sales pipeline, alongside the confidence to engage with stakeholders at different levels within an organisation. You'll also need a full UK driving licence and be comfortable travelling throughout the South to meet customers and develop your territory
