How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Strategic Account Manager – Permanent Opportunity

    James Andrews is exclusively partnering with a renowned UK business services provider to appoint a Strategic Account Manager on a permanent basis. They are offering a salary c.£90,000 per annum, with flexibility for the right candidate based on relevant experience and expertise.

    Our client is an established and highly regarded organisation within the UK market, delivering technology and business support solutions across a diverse range of sectors, including the NHS, Local Government, Central Government and the Private Sector.

    This is a high-profile opportunity to join the organisation in a pivotal client-facing role. While the successful candidate will be employed by our client, they will take a lead role in project managing a consortium partnership responsible for establishing and delivering ongoing HRP services to a globally renowned end client.

    The Strategic Account Manager will play a critical role in the mobilisation, implementation and subsequent operational management of the service, working closely with the implementation team to ensure full operational readiness ahead of the September 2027 go-live.

    Following implementation, the role will assume strategic responsibility for the ongoing service, providing leadership through a team of operational HRP leaders and acting as a key interface between the client, consortium partners and end client.

    Key information:

    Start date: Dependent on notice period

    Salary: c.£90,000 per annum, with flexibility for the right candidate based on relevant experience and expertise.

    Location: Fully Remote but regular meetings in Central London with the contract managers and the client – please note these will initially be monthly but as the project nears completion (c. September 2027) these will become more frequent

    Note- due to client sensitivity the appropriate security clearance will be required

    Key deliverables of the role:

    Effective implementation and ongoing management of outsourced HRP service

    To work with teams (projects, commercial, Oracle experts, HRP, operations) to ensure effective system development, testing and operational readiness for go live

    To lead ongoing service delivery ensuring delivered as per contract requirements

    To ensure operational team readiness, supporting on TUPE and set up of team, structure planning, establishing working practises and service delivery

    Manage financial results and deliver finance reporting to Senior Leadership, focussing on key priorities

    Liaise with colleagues to deliver business growth and margin improvement

    Own the account growth plan, including identification and progression of AD opportunities and complementary offerings

    Act as the senior point of contact for the client, coordinating responses to account, service, commercial and escalation matters

    Review current and future commercial offerings to ensure they remain competitive, relevant and positioned to support account expansion

    Maintain overall commercial risk and compliance register monitored

    Measure and seek to improve client satisfaction

    Duties will include (but not limited to):

    * Preparation and submission of the VAT returns for the VAT Group and other subsidiary companies

    * To lead implementation of the clients HRP service

    * To manage ongoing service delivery for clients HRP service

    * To lead and develop team of service leaders, setting and monitoring objectives, ensuring team are set up to deliver high quality service

    * Lead the client and consortium relationship and contract requirements, including day-to-day liaison, formal client reporting and ensuring that client needs and expectations are understood and satisfied/ exceeded

    * Act as the lead point of contact for the client on account development, commercial discussions, service opportunities and senior stakeholder engagement

    * Produce, own and maintain a high-quality strategic account plan for ongoing account development, including account growth, AD opportunities

    * Lead the identification, qualification and progression of AD opportunities, working with commercial, operational and proposition colleagues to shape client-ready proposals

    * Regularly review existing commercial offerings, pricing assumptions and service propositions to ensure they continue to meet client needs and create opportunities for sustainable growth

    * Internal and external reporting re contract adherence, financial performance, risk and compliance registers

    * Responsible for overall commercial P & L performance for the region

    * Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by monitoring and ensuring good delivery performance in all relevant service line

    Experience needed:

    * Demonstrable commercial capability and astuteness; track record and strong business acumen; ability to analyse and evaluate commercial data, knowledge of relevant business Sector

    * Ability to set up and lead a team with enthusiasm, motivation and delegation, understand the principles of organisation design

    * Energy and commitment and ability to overcome and turnaround difficult trading positions

    * Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

    * Proven experience of managing senior level strategic client relationships

    * Demonstrably honest and credible – ‘promises and delivers’

    Working hours

    37.00 hours per week

    Monday - Friday

    Our client is flexible on how these hours are worked as long as deadlines are met, work is done to agreed timescales

    Please note that longer hours may be needed as the project nears completion
