How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a successful manufacturer currently going through an exciting period of investment and improvement. With continued investment across the site, machinery and production equipment, this is a great time to join the engineering team.

    The Maintenance Engineer Role

    You'll work closely with production and the wider engineering team to maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime and keep the site running efficiently.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

    * Responding to machinery breakdowns and production issues

    * Mechanical fault finding, repairs and maintenance

    * Electrical fault finding and maintenance

    * Maintaining a range of production and manufacturing machinery

    * Identifying recurring faults and implementing long-term solutions

    * Supporting machinery upgrades and ongoing site investment projects

    * Improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime

    * Working closely with production teams to maintain safe and efficient operations

    What We're Looking For

    The successful Maintenance Engineer will ideally have previous experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.

    We're looking for someone with:

    * Strong mechanical maintenance experience

    * Electrical maintenance and fault-finding capabilities

    * Experience working with manufacturing or production machinery

    * Knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance

    * A recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship

    * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

    * A proactive approach to equipment reliability and continuous improvement

    We would also be interested in speaking with candidates currently working as a Maintenance Technician, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Fitter, Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer who have the relevant manufacturing maintenance experience.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer who wants to join a successful manufacturing business at an exciting point in its development.
