How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Systems Project Manager
    Salary: Grade H Salary £47,181 to £52,413 per annum
    Location: Ripley HQ
    Hours: 37 hours per week, however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours.

    About the Role:
    Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service is seeking a highly motivated Business Systems Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of critical business systems projects across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to drive digital transformation, improve organisational efficiency and help ensure our people have the systems and information they need to deliver vital services to our communities.
    Working within the Corporate Systems team, you will manage the full lifecycle of business systems projects, from initial concept and business case development through to implementation, training, support and continuous improvement.
    As Business Systems Project Manager, you will lead a portfolio of projects involving the introduction, upgrade, replacement and integration of business-critical systems. You will work closely with senior leaders, operational and support departments, technical specialists and third-party suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to organisational objectives.
    There may be a requirement for some travel for which a pool car will be provided.

    Required Qualifications and Experience:
    To be successful in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and experience:
    * Educated to degree level in computing or related subject or equivalent demonstrable experience and training relevant to the role
    * Appropriate project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner level) or equivalent demonstrable experience
