How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Producing quotations and commercially competitive freight solutions
Following up leads, enquiries and live sales opportunities
    Negotiating rates and commercial agreements
    Developing long-term customer relationships
Working closely with customers from initial enquiry through to delivery
Maintaining strong involvement with the operational side of freight movements
Liaising with internal teams, suppliers and transport partners
Maintaining accurate CRM and pipeline information
    About You

We are looking for somebody with previous experience within freight forwarding, shipping, logistics or transport who combines strong commercial ability with a solid understanding of freight operations.

    You will ideally have:

Experience within freight forwarding or logistics
A proven background in business development, freight sales or commercial account management
The confidence and drive to win new customers and create your own opportunities
A strong commercial mindset and ability to spot revenue opportunities
Good understanding of freight operations and the customer journey
    Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
A proactive, self-motivated and resilient approach
The tenacity required to succeed in a target-driven sales environment
The ability to build long-term relationships once business has been secured
This could suit an experienced Business Development Manager, Freight Sales Executive, Commercial Account Manager, Freight Account Manager or commercially driven freight professional looking for greater autonomy and earning potential.

    What's on Offer

    Excellent uncapped commission structure
No ceiling on earnings - performance is directly rewarded
    Complete autonomy over your work
    Remote working
    Humber-based opportunity
Opportunity to join an ambitious and growing team
Freedom to build and develop your own customer base
A varied role combining new business development, account growth and strong involvement with freight operations
