EXPERIENCED VEHICLE PAINTER / PAINT TECHNICIAN
Location: Erith, Kent, DA8 1EW
Salary: £45000 - £52000
Kestrel Talent is recruiting an experienced Vehicle Painter to join an accident repair centre in Erith.
The business provides accident repairs, structural work, paint refinishing and cosmetic repairs for private customers, insurers and commercial fleets. Its Erith centre uses modern bodyshop equipment and repairs vehicles across a wide range of makes and models.
You will be responsible for delivering consistently high-quality paint finishes while working efficiently alongside the wider repair team.
THE ROLE

Prepare vehicle panels and surfaces for painting

Complete masking, priming and refinishing work
*
Mix and match colours accurately
*
Apply paint using appropriate techniques and equipment
*
Blend repaired areas to produce a seamless finish
*
Inspect completed work and correct imperfections
*
Work closely with panel, MET and estimating colleagues
*
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area
*
Follow paint-manufacturer and environmental procedures
*
Help vehicles move through the repair process efficiently
ABOUT YOU
*
Proven vehicle-painting experience within a professional bodyshop
*
Strong preparation, colour-matching and refinishing skills
*
Able to produce a consistently high standard of finish
*
Knowledge of modern paint products and application methods
*
Careful, organised and quality focused
*
Able to work independently and as part of a repair team
*
Relevant IMI, NVQ or ATA accreditation would be advantageous, although equivalent practical experience will be considered
