How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Community Nurse – Peritoneal Dialysis
    Dorset – BH & DT Postcodes | £40,840 + Paid Mileage | 5-Day Working Week | Full Specialist Training

Are you a Registered Nurse looking for more time with your patients and the opportunity to deliver genuinely personalised care?

If you’re ready to step away from the pressures of a busy ward or want to develop your career within specialist community nursing, this could be an excellent move.

We’re recruiting for a Community Nurse to join a rapidly growing specialist healthcare provider, delivering peritoneal dialysis care to patients in their own homes across the BH and DT postcode areas of Dorset.

Previous renal or dialysis experience is not essential. You’ll receive comprehensive specialist training and ongoing support from an experienced renal team, making this a fantastic opportunity for an RGN looking to develop a new clinical specialism.

    Why This Role?

This is community nursing built around quality over quantity.

Rather than managing a busy ward or constantly moving between competing priorities, you’ll work with patients on a one-to-one basis in their own homes, giving you the time and autonomy to deliver the standard of care you were trained to provide.

You’ll build genuine relationships with your patients, support their independence and see the long-term impact your care has on their quality of life.

    What’s on Offer?

    £40,840 annual salary
    Paid mileage
    Structured 5-day working week
31 days’ annual leave plus your birthday off
    Private pension
    Performance-related bonuses
Comprehensive specialist training in peritoneal dialysis
Ongoing support from an experienced renal and clinical team
Opportunity to develop specialist skills within a growing area of community healthcareThe Role

As a Community Nurse, you’ll provide specialist peritoneal dialysis care to patients across the BH and DT postcode areas, supporting them to receive safe, effective treatment without having to regularly attend hospital.

    Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD) and Manual Peritoneal Dialysis
Connecting and disconnecting dialysis equipment during home visits
Monitoring patients and supporting the safe delivery of treatment
Educating and supporting patients and their families
Working closely with hospital renal units and wider multidisciplinary teams
    Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
Promoting patient independence, dignity and confidence in managing care at homeWhat We’re Looking For

    To be considered, you’ll need:

    Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification
    Active NMC registration
Minimum 2 years’ post-registration nursing experience
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the BH and DT postcode areas
Confidence working autonomously and managing your own workload
Strong communication and patient education skills
A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred careNo previous peritoneal dialysis experience? No problem.

If you’re an experienced RGN with the right clinical foundations and attitude, full specialist training will be provided. Community experience is also welcomed but is not essential.

    Ready for a Change?

If you’re looking for a nursing role where you can spend more meaningful time with your patients, develop specialist clinical skills and deliver care in an environment where patients feel most comfortable – their own home – we’d love to hear from you.
