How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Act as the face of the business, providing polite, professional and clear communication to domestic homeowners and commercial facilities managers.
Complete accurate digital service reports following each visit.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant electrical and safety regulations.
Independently manage a daily travel schedule across Wiltshire, Swindon, the Cotswolds and the surrounding M4 corridor.
Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment to a high standard.
Provide a consistently professional standard of workmanship and customer service.
Skills and Qualifications for the Swimming Pool Engineer:

City & Guilds 2391-52 – Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing, or an equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
    Full, clean UK driving licence.
Strong electrical inspection, testing and fault-finding skills.
    Reliable, punctual and well organised.
High standards of personal presentation and professionalism.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
A calm, methodical approach to fault finding and problem solving.
Strong integrity and a commitment to completing work to a high standard.
Desirable for the Swimming Pool Engineer:

Previous experience with pumps, motors or electrical control systems.
Knowledge of basic plumbing or hydraulics.
Previous experience within swimming pools, water treatment or leisure facilities.
Existing swimming pool or water treatment qualifications, such as ISPE or STA.
Previous experience working within plant rooms or similar engineering environments.
Full training will be provided for candidates without previous swimming pool experience.
Benefits for the Swimming Pool Engineer:

Fully funded specialist training in swimming pool plant and water chemistry.
Company vehicle and fuel card provided for business travel, field duties and commuting.
    Company mobile phone.
    Company tools and equipment provided.
    Full uniform and PPE provided.
    Monday to Friday working pattern.
Flexible daily working hours to be agreed.
25 days' annual leave, subject to seasonal operational restrictions.
Long-term career prospects within a respected and expanding business.
    Ongoing technical training and development.
Opportunity to develop an electrical engineering background into a specialist swimming pool engineering career.
