How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Wokingham

    Location: Wokingham
    Start Date: ASAP
    Pay: £90 - £105 per day

    A supportive and inclusive school in Wokingham is looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised support to a pupil with additional needs and make a meaningful difference to their educational and personal development.

    As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with an individual pupil throughout the school day, providing tailored academic, emotional and behavioural support. You will help the pupil access the curriculum, develop independence and feel confident within the school environment.

    As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

    Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs
    Helping the pupil access and engage with classroom learning
    Adapting activities and resources according to individual needs
    Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
    Encouraging communication, confidence and independence
    Providing reassurance and consistency throughout the school day
    Supporting social interaction and positive relationships with peers
    Monitoring progress and communicating effectively with teaching staff
    Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and other professionalsThe school is looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant who is patient, caring, adaptable and able to build a strong relationship with the pupil they support. Experience with SEN, ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH or other additional needs would be beneficial.
