How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    User Interface Designer

    London. On site. Full time.

Phenome Longevity is a precision health company. We run multiomics laboratories, longevity clinics, wearables, and a digital platform that connects them. The interface is what our clients use, and it determines whether the science behind it reaches them.

We are hiring a User Interface Designer to work on site in London, directly with our directors, alongside product, engineering, and research.

    THE ROLE

A significant part of this role is ownership of the Phenome Shopify storefront, covering both design and build: theme customisation, Liquid templates, section and block architecture, product pages, and checkout flow.

Alongside this you will design the interfaces across our web and mobile products, including user flows, wireframes, high fidelity mockups, and interaction patterns, and maintain the design system, UI libraries, and design documentation the rest of the team works from.

All work is mobile first, designed for the smallest viewport and scaled upward, with clear visual and information hierarchy on every screen.

    HOW WE WORK

Cycles are short and priorities move. You will get a brief rather than a specification, and you will be trusted to interpret it and iterate without extensive hand holding. You will present decisions to directors and take feedback quickly.

You will also have room to bring your own ideas. Where your interests overlap with what we are building, propose the work and own it.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    • Someone who moves from brief to first output quickly, using AI assisted tools to get there. Cursor and comparable tools should already be part of how you work
    • Strong command of visual and information hierarchy, with the ability to explain your decisions across a full page and a full flow
    • Front end capability to implement your own designs: HTML, CSS, responsive best practice, and comfort reading and editing Liquid
    • Highly adaptable, and reliable under deadline pressure
    • Attention to detail, and a working commitment to accuracy and accessibility. This is health data

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE DONE

    • Two to three years designing for ecommerce and mobile applications
    • Shipped live Shopify stores you personally designed and built
    • Produced mockups and interactive prototypes for web and mobile
    • Worked in Figma to a professional standard
    • Grounding in user experience fundamentals: user flows, information architecture, interaction design
    • A bachelors degree in design, HCI, or a related field is beneficial

    USEFUL, NOT REQUIRED

    • Design experience in healthcare, diagnostics, or financial services, where accuracy, trust, and regulated content shape the interface
    • Familiarity with ecommerce conversion principles and analytics
    • Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system

    HOW TO APPLY

If you think this is the job for you, tell us why, how you would contribute to the team, and where your strongest skills lie.

Send this with your CV and portfolio to hr@phenomelongevity.com.
