How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An established construction consultancy in London is seeking an ambitious Assistant Project Manager to join their growing project management team. The successful Assistant Project Manager will work across a varied portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use, heritage and student accommodation developments. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager looking to gain wider project exposure within a supportive consultancy environment.

The Assistant Project Manager will take responsibility for leading smaller projects while supporting senior colleagues on larger, more complex schemes. With structured development and a strong APC support programme, this position would suit an Assistant Project Manager who is committed to progressing towards chartership and developing a long-term career in project management.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

    The Assistant Project Manager's role

The Assistant Project Manager will assist with projects from initial feasibility through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include preparing project programmes, monitoring costs and timescales, coordinating design teams, attending client meetings and producing progress reports. The Assistant Project Manager will also help manage risk, oversee procurement activities and support the delivery of projects in accordance with agreed quality standards.

As experience develops, the successful candidate will be encouraged to take greater ownership of smaller commissions and build strong relationships with clients.

    The Assistant Project Manager

The successful Assistant Project Manager will ideally have:

A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or another relevant construction discipline
Previous project management experience within a construction consultancy
Experience supporting residential, commercial or mixed-use projects
A good understanding of the construction project lifecycle
Strong communication, organisation and client-facing skills
Progress towards, or an ambition to achieve, MRICS, MAPM or another relevant professional qualification
A proactive approach and the confidence to manage competing priorities

    In Return?

The Assistant Project Manager will receive:

    £35,000-£45,000
Structured APC support and guidance towards chartership
Exposure to a diverse range of London projects
    Clear opportunities for career progression
    Professional membership and training support
A supportive and experienced project management team
