Operations Manager

leader with a strong mechanical engineering background to help drive the business forward.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

As a member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of day-to-day operations across the business. You will bring structure, pace and strong leadership to a broad operational remit while developing people, improving processes and supporting Rautomead's strategic ambitions.
You will have overall responsibility for operational performance, ensuring the safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of all capital equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Oversee day-to-day operations acrossmanufacturing,planning, procurement, shipping, engineering and stores.

* Assist with the development and implementation of Rautomead’s ambitious growth objectives.

* Drive operational excellence and ensure production processes are efficient, reliable and effective.

* Work closely with the Innovations Manager to maintain the right balance between production demands and product development.

* Lead, coach, support and develop team members, creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and growth.

* Collaborate with the sales team to develop meaningful capacity planning objectives.

* Introduce and embed best-practice processes that improve efficiency and profitability.

* Identify opportunities to strengthen operations, expand capability and support the company's wider strategic objectives.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an accomplished leader, ideally with experience in a medium-sized engineering or manufacturing organisation.

You will bring:

Strong operational leadership within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
A solid mechanical engineering background.
Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent coaching, communication and stakeholder management skills.
A demonstrable track record of improving teams, processes and operational performance.
A practical, commercially aware and continuous improvement mindset.
The credibility and ambition to contribute as part of a senior management team.
