How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    SHEQ Manager- Central Belt

    The Role

    To lead and continually improve Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality management systems across a diverse portfolio of construction, building and civil engineering projects throughout Scotland.

    This is a senior management opportunity for a proactive individual with strong construction industry experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to positively influence teams, subcontractors and clients across all levels of the business.

    Based in the central belt with regular travel to sites across Scotland.

    Responsibilities

    * Site SHEQ inspections across multiple projects.

    * Maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 systems.

    * Supporting certification and surveillance audits.

    * Leading accident, incident and near-miss investigations.

    * Managing occupational health and training records.

    * Producing SHEQ documentation including CPPs and Fire Plans.

    * Supporting tenders, PQQs and client compliance requirements.

    * Promoting a positive SHEQ culture throughout the business.

    * Ensuring all training is valid and up to date.

    Requirements

    Essential

    * Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).

    * Previous SHEQ management experience within construction.

    * Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM Regulations 2015.

    * Experience with audits, inspections and incident investigations.

    * Full UK Driving Licence.

    Desirable

    * NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.

    * Internal ISO Auditor qualification.

    * Experience maintaining SSIP and trade body accreditations.

    * Experience working with principal contractors and major clients.

    Renumeration

    * Salary- £50-60K.
