How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description: 

    To ensure we support our growing world-wide fast jet development we need to increase the size of our Structural

    Analysis team.

    As a Senior Structures Engineer within that team you will need to have a thorough knowledge Aircraft Structural

    Analysis covering metallics and composites using a range of analysis techniques from traditional hand calculations

    through to computational techniques such as Finite Element Analysis.

    Engineering knowledge sufficient to supervise junior/early career engineers.

    Core Duties

    Typical duties include (but are not limited to):

    Typically, you will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

    · Structural sizing and analysis

    · Finite Element Analysis

    Dependent upon your specialist experience and knowledge, you will be responsible for activities such as:

    · Defining and carrying out engineering analysis tasks allocated to you and to your team members.

    · Mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues to build up the team’s knowledge, skill and

    experience across the Structures discipline.

    · Ensuring effective interactions between team mates, suppliers, customers and others, to develop efficient

    and effective working practices, and resolving issues as they arise to maintain this effectiveness.

    · Carrying out analysis of structure using finite element analysis, traditional hand-calculations and calculations

    using a variety of software applications, to demonstrate that the structural design meets relevant

    certification and project requirements.

    · Fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
