The Company
Our client is a forward-thinking British manufacturing business with over 100 years of history. Supplying products into the infrastructure, construction and civils sectors, the business operates across five manufacturing sites and has a turnover approaching £75 million.
The company continues to invest in new production lines and technology, creating an exciting opportunity for an engineer to join the team during a period of continued growth.

About the role
Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for keeping specialist manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
Fault finding and diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues.
Maintaining specialist injection moulding and plastic extrusion machinery.
Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime.
Working safely on electrical control panels and associated equipment.
Identifying opportunities to improve machinery reliability and performance.
Thinking creatively and using a “fix it properly” approach to fault finding.
About you
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer who is either mechanically or electrically biased.
You will ideally have:
A recognised Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent.
Multi-skilled maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
If mechanically biased, the ability to work safely within a control panel and carry out electrical maintenance tasks independently.
A logical, methodical and out-of-the-box approach to fault finding.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience within a particular manufacturing industry isn't essential. Engineers from a wide range of factory and manufacturing backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
