How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic
    Location: Shrewsbury
    Salary: Up to £34,000 Depending on Experience & OTE (Uncapped)
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 Hours | Saturday Mornings on a Rota

    The Role
    As a Vehicle Technician, you'll carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to the highest standards while working as part of a professional dealership workshop.
    Your responsibilities will include:
    ·Servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs
    ·Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
    ·Carrying out vehicle inspections and health checks
    ·Preparing vehicles to manufacturer standards
    ·Completing repairs efficiently and accurately
    ·Maintaining workshop documentation and job records
    ·Working closely with the wider workshop team to deliver excellent customer service
     
    About You
    We're looking for someone with:
    ·NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
    ·At least 2 years' experience as a qualified Vehicle Technician
    ·Previous dealership experience preferred
    ·Strong diagnostic and electrical fault-finding skills
    ·Positive attitude with pride in producing high-quality work
    ·Full UK Manual Driving Licence
    ·Right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available)
