How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Manager – Flooring

    Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum
    Location: London – Site Based 
    Job Type: Permanent

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join an established and growing commercial flooring company, managing flooring projects across London.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background in commercial flooring and construction who is looking to take responsibility for projects from pre-start through to completion.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality, while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, installers, subcontractors and suppliers.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage flooring projects from pre-start through to completion and handover.
    Review project specifications, drawings, programmes and scope of works.
    Coordinate installers, subcontractors, suppliers, materials and site resources.
    Ensure the correct labour and materials are available when required.
    Monitor project programmes, progress, costs and deadlines.
    Attend pre-start, design and regular project/site meetings.
    Carry out regular site inspections and pre-installation surveys.
    Liaise with clients and contractors, providing regular project updates.
    Manage snagging and ensure works are completed to the required standard.
    Monitor labour hours, job sheets, deliveries and project costs.
    Work closely with the commercial/QS team to maintain cost control.
    Ensure all health & safety requirements, RAMS, permits and site procedures are followed.
    Keep project systems and documentation up to date.
    Identify and resolve issues before they impact programme, cost or quality.
    Support and coordinate Assistant Project Managers where required.

    Requirements

    Proven experience as a Project Manager within the flooring industry.
    Strong knowledge of commercial flooring installations and construction processes.
    Experience managing projects from start to finish.
    Minimum Gold CSCS Card – essential.
    Strong organisational, planning and communication skills.
    Good commercial awareness and understanding of project costs.
    Ability to manage installers, subcontractors and suppliers.
    Strong client-facing and problem-solving skills.
    Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
    Relevant flooring/construction experience and qualifications.
    Full UK driving licence desirable.
