Our client is looking for a reliable and hands-on Yard Operative to join their busy team. This is a varied role combining yard duties, goods in and goods out, quality checking, packaging and general warehouse support.
The successful Yard Operative candidate will be organised and comfortable working as part of a friendly team. Full training will be provided on the quality control processes.

Yard Operative - Responsibilities
* Supporting goods in and goods out processes
* Packaging and preparing completed projects for customers
* Carrying out quality checks on finished products following training
* Working from engineering drawings and completing relevant documentation
* Preparing full pallet listings and keeping project records up to date
* Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift where required
* Supporting stock and consumable control
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
* Providing occasional cover at another local warehouse site when required
Yard Operative - Skills & Experience
* Full UK driving licence is essential
* Previous experience within a yard, warehouse, steelwork or similar environment would be advantageous
* Forklift licence would be highly desirable
* Ability to understand engineering drawings would be beneficial, although training can be provided
* Good IT skills
* Comfortable carrying out some heavy lifting
* Flexible and able to manage changing priorities
