How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Welding / Fabrication Trainer

    Site Based, Swadlincote

    Are you an experienced Welder or Fabricator looking to move into a rewarding role where you can train and assess the next generation of skilled tradespeople, showcasing your skillset and getting full training into teaching?

    Working as part of an established engineering team, you will assess learners in both workshop and workplace environments, ensuring they are meeting qualification standards and developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed for successful careers within the welding and fabrication sector.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, hold a Level 3 qualification in Welding, Fabrication, or a related discipline, and be passionate about developing others.

    The Role

    * Train and Assess welding and fabrication apprentices against qualification standards
    * Carry out workplace and workshop-based assessments
    * Support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey
    * Liaise with employers, trainers, and curriculum teams to support learner achievement
    * Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

    The Person
    * Level 3 qualification in Welding Engineering, Fabrication and Welding, or a related discipline
    * Industrial experience within welding and ideally fabrication
    * Strong knowledge of welding processes, fabrication techniques, and industry standards
    * Passionate about supporting and developing apprentices
