How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Join Our Team as a Patient Movement Porter!

    Are you ready to make a difference in the healthcare sector? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Patient Movement Porter to join our dynamic team at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.     Position: Patient Movement Porter
    Type: Full Time
    Hours: Working 5 out of 7 days between 9 AM - 5pm and 11 - 7 PM, including weekends
    Location: On-site (No parking available)

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide efficient portering services with a focus on patient care.
    Escort patients to and from departments and wards, ensuring a safe and respectful experience.
    Manage the movement of essential items like medical records, equipment, and mail.
    Assist nursing staff in transferring patients to the mortuary with dignity and care.
    Adhere to data protection guidelines while handling sensitive information. What We're Looking For:

    Communication Skills: You must be able to engage empathetically with patients, relatives, and colleagues.
    Flexibility: This role requires adaptability in both working hours and tasks.
    Physical Fitness: Expect lots of walking-be prepared to stay active throughout your shifts!
    Self-Management: You should be able to prioritise tasks effectively and work independently.
