How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Electrical Commissioning Manager

    Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager to oversee the complete commissioning lifecycle for complex electrical building services. In this role, you will lead systems integration, manage testing programmes from pre-commissioning through to client handover, and ensure all installations satisfy rigorous international standards and safety protocols.

    Key Responsibilities

    Commissioning Leadership & Strategy

    Lead the commissioning of complex electrical infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with associated mechanical, controls, and wider facility systems.
    Formulate and execute project-specific commissioning plans, testing schedules, and operational procedures.
    Drive all phases of testing-from preliminary checks and energisation to Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and final project sign-off.
    Coordinate daily commissioning activities alongside internal engineering, quality, safety, and design teams, as well as external subcontractors and specialist vendors.
    Track milestone progress to ensure project schedules are met without compromising technical quality.Electrical Systems Oversight

    Supervise the testing and validation of key electrical assets, including:
    High, Medium, and Low Voltage (HV/MV/LV) distribution systems
    Switchgear, transformers, and protection schemes
    Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and standby generators
    Lighting, small power, earthing, and lightning protection
    BMS, EPMS, and associated electrical control systems
    Review, draft, and approve detailed test scripts, switching schedules, method statements, and technical procedures.Quality, Compliance & Safety

    Ensure all works align with relevant standards (IEC/EN), European directives, local building regulations, and client specifications.
    Maintain comprehensive records, technical certifications, and audit-ready turnover packages.
    Lead safety evaluations, system walkdowns, risk assessments (RAMS), and high-risk energisation reviews.
    Foster a robust workplace safety culture across all commissioning activities.Stakeholder Management & Handover

    Act as the primary technical point of contact for client teams, design consultants, regulatory bodies, and equipment manufacturers.
    Direct witness testing, inspections, defect management (snagging), and system close-outs.
    Manage final client handover, including operational readiness reviews, system training, and post-project debriefs.Candidate Profile

    Essential Skills & Qualifications

    Education & Experience: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification backed by substantial trade experience.
    Technical Depth: In-depth knowledge of complex electrical systems (HV/MV/LV, UPS, generators, BMS, protection systems) with a strong capability in fault-finding and system diagnostics.
    Commissioning Expertise: Proven track record leading electrical commissioning through pre-commissioning, energisation, IST, and formal close-out.
    Leadership & Delivery: Demonstrated ability to direct multidisciplinary teams, manage vendors, and coordinate complex schedules on time and within budget.
    Compliance & Standards: Solid working knowledge of health and safety standards, risk management, and international engineering regulations.
    Communication: Outstanding technical writing and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting clear progress updates to executive stakeholders.
    Tools: Proficiency in standard office software and specialized digital commissioning platforms.Desirable Criteria

    Experience on mission-critical or data centre developments.
    Senior Authorised Person (SAP) or Authorised Person (AP) certification.
    Direct experience planning complex energisation sequences and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
    Professional membership or chartership with a recognized body (e.g., IET, CIBSE).What We Offer
