Temporary Position
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Handyman to support the maintenance team within a busy student accommodation site in Manchester.
Working 24 hours per week, you will assist with general repairs, maintenance tasks and the upkeep of communal areas to ensure residents have a positive living experience.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out general maintenance and repair work across the accommodation site
Basic plumbing, painting, decorating and carpentry tasks
Replacing fixtures, fittings and light bulbs as required
Conducting routine safety and maintenance checks
Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
Ensuring communal areas remain safe, tidy and well maintained
Supporting the wider facilities team with planned and reactive maintenance
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a handyman, maintenance operative or facilities role
Good all-round DIY and maintenance skills
Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting and repairs
Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
