How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

The Cell Development Engineer will support the development of next-generation battery technologies, helping to translate new materials, cell designs and manufacturing concepts into scalable, production-ready solutions. Working across engineering, quality, manufacturing and supply chain teams, you will contribute to cell development activities from early-stage trials through to validation and industrialisation.

The Cell Development Engineer will be responsible for:

Supporting battery cell development activities, including material evaluation, test planning and performance validation.
Planning and executing development trials and Design of Experiments (DoE)
Analysing electrochemical data to identify trends, performance improvements and degradation mechanisms.
Supporting the development of new cell formats, designs and manufacturing approaches.
Contributing to technical feasibility studies, risk assessments and product development activities.
Collaborating with manufacturing, quality and supply chain teams to support material selection and process development.
The Cell Development Engineer will have:

A Degree or Master's Degree in Electrochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience in lithium-ion battery development, testing, materials evaluation or manufacturing process development.
Knowledge of battery cell components, materials and electrochemical behaviour.
Experience planning and analysing development trials or experimental programmes.
Familiarity with electrochemical testing techniques such as cycling, EIS, CV, GITT/PITT or similar methods.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced battery technologies, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to solve complex engineering challenges and support the scale-up of innovative energy storage solutions. If you're looking to make an impact in a fast-moving battery environment, we'd love to hear from you
