How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Qualified Electrician – Commercial & Industrial

    Salary: £49,000 – £58,500 per annum (DOE)

    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

    Location: Nationwide / UK-wide Projects - Regular staying away during the week 

    Start Date: Immediate

    Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 10-hour days including travel and breaks

    Weekend Overtime: Voluntary

    About the Role

    A growing electrical contractor operating across the commercial and industrial sectors is looking for experienced Qualified Electricians to join its expanding team.

    The business delivers electrical installation, maintenance, testing and associated services across a wide range of environments, including automotive, warehousing, retail, hospitality, healthcare and industrial facilities.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrician looking for long-term, stable employment, varied projects, competitive earnings and opportunities for further training and career development.

    The role involves working on projects throughout the UK, ranging from reactive maintenance and smaller installation works through to large-scale commercial fit-outs, refurbishments and new installations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Carry out electrical installation works in accordance with BS 7671 and current regulations

    Install containment systems, cabling, distribution boards, switchgear and final circuits

    Undertake planned and reactive electrical maintenance

    Diagnose faults and carry out remedial works

    Assist with inspection, testing and commissioning activities where required

    Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical schematics

    Complete works safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard

    Maintain accurate and professional standards while working on client sites

    Keep work areas clean, organised and compliant with site requirements

    Work independently or as part of a wider electrical team

    Represent the business professionally when working with clients and other contractors

    Essential Requirements

    Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

    AM2 qualification

    Current 18th Edition BS 7671

    Valid ECS Gold Card

    Demonstrable experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical installations

    Strong understanding of electrical systems, regulations and safe working practices

    Full UK Driving Licence

    Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home when required

    Desirable Qualifications & Experience

    The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

    Experience working within automotive, workshop or bodyshop environments

    Valid IPAF certification

    Valid PASMA certification

    Inspection and testing experience

    2391 qualification, or currently working towards it
