How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Quantity Surveyors – All Levels

    Location: Swansea, South Wales
    Salary: £30,000 – £70,000+ DOE and Seniority
    Permanent | Full-Time

    We are looking to speak with Quantity Surveyors across Swansea and West Wales as we support a number of construction businesses looking to grow their commercial teams.

    Whether you're currently working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and looking to take the next step, an experienced QS seeking greater project responsibility, or a Senior Quantity Surveyor considering a new challenge, we would be interested in hearing from you.

    Opportunities are available at:

    * Assistant Quantity Surveyor level

    * Quantity Surveyor level

    * Senior Quantity Surveyor level

    Roles are available across a range of construction sectors and project types, with potential opportunities for candidates from main contractor, residential, commercial, civil engineering, groundworks and specialist subcontractor backgrounds.

    Typical duties may include:
    Managing project budgets and commercial performance
    Subcontractor procurement
    Managing subcontractor accounts
    Preparing valuations and applications for payment
    Cost reporting and CVRs
    Forecasting
    Managing variations
    Contract administration
    Negotiating final accounts
    Working alongside project and operational teams
    Identifying commercial risks and opportunities

    We are looking for commercially aware individuals with good communication skills and a strong understanding of construction.

    The level of responsibility will be tailored to your experience, with opportunities available for candidates looking to develop as well as established Quantity Surveyors capable of independently managing projects.
