How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer - Mission Critical / Data Centre Project

    Location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany (Site-Based / Rotation or Relocation Supported)

    Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    Reporting To: Site Electrical Project Manager

    Language Requirements: English (Fluent / Professional Proficiency)

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer to join our project delivery team on a major Data Centre construction project in Frankfurt am Main.

    Reporting directly to the site Electrical Project Manager, you will provide critical technical engineering support, ensure quality control, manage site documentation, and resolve engineering queries to keep installation works moving smoothly. You will act as the technical link between site supervisors, BIM/design teams, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors.

    Open to candidates willing to relocate to Frankfurt or work on an agreed site-rotation basis.

    Key Responsibilities

    Technical Support & Engineering Coordination

    RFIs & Technical Queries: Raise, track, and resolve Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries required to support site electrical installations.
    Technical Submittals: Collate, manage, and track technical submittals and material approval packages for electrical plant, equipment, and offsite prefabrication solutions.
    Design & BIM Coordination: Review, manage, and coordinate electrical drawings, ensuring site teams are working from the latest design revisions. Redline drawings with as-built information for handover.
    Supply Chain & Long-Lead Tracking: Follow up on long-lead electrical plant equipment orders (transformers, switchgear, UPS systems) to align with site delivery milestones.Quality Assurance, Safety & Compliance

    QA/QC Management: Manage site QA/QC procedures, conduct inspections, and compile weekly and monthly quality reports.
    Handover & Testing Packs: Create system test packs, commissioning documentation, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) handover manuals to Tier III/IV data centre standards.
    Safety & Standards Compliance: Ensure all works comply with project health and safety obligations, site regulations, and client design specifications.Site Operations & Progress Reporting

    Subcontractor Technical Guidance: Advise and guide subcontracted engineering teams on technical aspects of the installation.
    Commercial Assistance: Assist the Quantity Surveyor (QS) in recording variations, changes, and back-up documentation for procurement.
    Progress Tracking: Input into weekly project progress reports and attend site engineering coordination meetings.Key Requirements & Qualifications

    Language Skills: Fluent / Professional Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for site reporting, submittals, and engineering communications. (German is not required).
    Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
    Experience: 2+ years of experience in an engineering support role within building services, industrial, or mission-critical construction.
    Technical Skills:
    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams) and MS Project.
    Working knowledge of electrical submittals, CAD/BIM drawing reviews, and RFI processes.
    Soft Skills:
    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
    High attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Proactive attitude with the ability to manage competing engineering deadlines on site.Preferred (Nice to Have)

    Prior experience on mission-critical facilities (Data Centres, Life Sciences, High-Tech Manufacturing, or Industrial projects).
    Familiarity with offsite prefabrication / DfMA electrical solutions.What We Offer
