How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Contracts Administrator

    A vacancy has arisen for the position of a Contracts Administrator (14 Months FTC Maternity Cover) to join our dynamic Metering & Billing team based at our Head Office in Blackburn. Our Metering & Billing team currently manage the energy billing for core utilities including Heat, Electricity and Water for over 35,000 customers.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    * Issuing of final, monthly, and quarterly credit bills and credit billing for assigned contracts ensuring that the correct business processes are followed at all times.

    * Issuing and accurate reporting of additional bills to ensure additional revenue is recorded.

    * Providing customer service support to our meter and billing customers via various communication channels which include the company online ticketing system, telephone, and email within agreed SLA’s.

    * Providing customers with their preferred method of payments. Discussing and agreeing payment plans with residents and clients

    * Monthly calls with clients to discuss updates / issues / progress.

    * Carrying out credit billing contract procedures which include reminder notices for overdue bills and monthly reports for clients and internal reporting

    * Administration tasks in relation to new customer account requests (issuing welcome packs / letters)

    * Dealing with escalated customer dissatisfaction / complaints / client billing enquires with a Right First-Time approach.

    * Ensuring contract data is cleansed and maintained regularly in compliance with our contractual obligations.

    * Proactive monitoring and maintenance of client documentation ensuring all business systems are accurate and in accordance with GDPR regulations.

    * Ensuring that the company credit management system is updated with all communication and is the single source of information.

    * Liaising with senior co-ordinators to support the mobilisation and onboarding

    * Enhanced debt collection and setting up payment plans

    You Will Need

    Skills and Experience

    * Previous experience working within a customer service facing role.

    * Knowledge & experience of working with electronic customer service systems and previous Billing / Invoicing experience is desirable.

    Competencies

    * Strong customer focus with excellent customer service skills including confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.

    * Knowledge and understanding of GDPR regulations in relation to processing sensitive personal information.

    * Strong attention to detail and accuracy

    * A flexible approach to managing workload with the ability to work to deadlines and able to prioritise and perform tasks under pressure.

    * The ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels using various methods of communication.

    * Work effectively as part of a team and help build relationships within it to achieve team goals.
