How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a well-paid, stable position with a successful manufacturing business in Bingley?

    We are currently recruiting for a skilled engineer to join a busy production site, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering days and nights, with an annual salary of £56,000.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong electrical and mechanical background who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.

    The Role

    You will carry out a combination of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive breakdown maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement, working closely with production and engineering teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery.

    * Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.

    * Carry out planned preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.

    * Fault-find on motors, gearboxes, conveyors, sensors, drives and control systems.

    * Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and diagnose faults on electrical control circuits and safety systems.

    * Support machinery modifications, installations and engineering improvement projects.

    * Work safely and comply with all site health, safety and engineering procedures and closely with production teams to prioritise breakdowns and maintenance requirements.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for an experienced engineer who is confident working across both electrical and mechanical disciplines.

    You will ideally have:

    * Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled, Maintenance or Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

    * Strong electrical fault-finding skills.

    * Solid mechanical maintenance experience.

    * Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food or industrial production.

    * Experience working with motors, drives, conveyors and automated machinery.

    * Knowledge of pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems.

    * PPM's

    * An engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent.

    * Strong problem-solving and fault-diagnosis skills.

    * A proactive approach an C.I.

    * Flexibility to work a 4 on 4 off day and night rotation
