Electrical Building Services Engineers – excellent opportunity with an established engineering business.
A successful and expanding building services engineering business is looking to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer and Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing design team.
The roles offer the opportunity to work across a varied range of commercial, residential, industrial and mixed-use projects, delivering high-quality electrical building services designs from concept through to construction.
The Role
Depending on experience, you'll be involved in:
* Electrical building services design across a range of projects.
* Lighting and emergency lighting design.
* Small power and general electrical services.
* LV distribution and containment systems.
* Fire alarm, security and other specialist systems.
* Producing electrical drawings and design documentation.
* Carrying out electrical calculations and design assessments.
* Producing specifications and technical reports.
* Working with architects, clients, contractors and other consultants.
* Supporting projects from concept and tender through to construction.
* Attending design meetings and site visits where required.
At Senior level, you'll take ownership of projects, provide technical leadership and help develop junior engineers.
The Person
We're interested in speaking with Electrical Building Services Engineers who have:
* Previous experience in electrical building services design.
* Good knowledge of electrical systems within the built environment.
* Experience working on building services projects.
* Strong AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP experience.
* Knowledge of relevant UK regulations, standards and industry practices.
* Good design and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and project-management abilities.
* HNC/HND, degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
For the Senior position, you'll ideally have experience taking electrical building services projects from initial concept through detailed design and construction.
