How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The successful candidate will combine strong industry knowledge with excellent teaching and communication skills and will be confident delivering both classroom-based and practical training.

    *

Deliver practical forklift truck training and assessment in a safe and professional environment.

    *

Deliver relevant warehouse and logistics theory, including workplace health and safety, manual handling, stock control and warehouse operations.

    *

Plan and prepare effective lessons, practical activities and learning materials.

    *

Assess learner knowledge and practical competence accurately and consistently.

    *

Provide constructive feedback and support learners to achieve their qualifications.

    *

Maintain accurate learner records, assessment documentation and training records.

    *

Ensure all training and assessment activity meets required quality, compliance and safeguarding standards.

    *

Maintain a safe training environment and ensure appropriate health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

    *

Support learners with different abilities and learning needs, adapting delivery where appropriate.

    *

Monitor learner progress and identify any additional support requirements.

    *

Work closely with the Learner Engagement and wider centre team to support learner attendance, retention and progression.

    *

Contribute to learner progression by helping learners understand employment opportunities within warehousing and logistics.

    *

Support employer engagement activities, recruitment events and learner interviews where required.

    *

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry practices, legislation and relevant training standards.

    *

Contribute to continuous improvement of training delivery and learner experience.

    *

Represent Momentum Training professionally at all times.

    Essential Requirements

The successful candidate must hold a recognised teaching or training qualification and a current, in-date FLT Instructor qualification, such as RTITB or LANTRA accreditation.

You will have strong practical experience within warehousing, logistics or materials handling and demonstrable experience operating and training others on forklift trucks.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with learners and colleagues.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, particularly when completing assessment and compliance documentation.

You must be confident delivering practical training and working with learners from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.

A strong understanding of workplace health and safety within warehouse and logistics environments is essential.

    Desirable Experience

The successful candidate will be patient, approachable and confident when working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

You will be organised, reliable and proactive, with the ability to manage your own workload while working effectively as part of a wider training team.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic and genuine passion for helping people develop their skills and progress into employment are essential.

    What We Offer
