How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you practical, reliable and take pride in doing a job properly?

We're recruiting on behalf of our client for a Trainee Maintenance Technician to join a growing engineering team carrying out planned preventative maintenance on specialist equipment across Middlesex and London.

No previous engineering or industry experience is necessary. If you're reliable, practical, willing to learn and take pride in doing a good job, our client will provide full training and support to help you develop into a skilled Service Engineer.

A company vehicle is provided, and a full UK driving licence is essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to learn a trade, build a long-term career, or put existing practical skills to good use in a specialist engineering environment.

Working hours will vary depending on customer requirements and site access, so flexibility is essential. The role includes a mixture of daytime, evening, night and weekend work.

    The Role

As a Trainee Maintenance Technician, you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance to help customers keep their specialist equipment operating safely and efficiently.

    Typical duties include:

Carrying out visual inspections of specialist equipment.
Cleaning equipment and associated components as part of planned maintenance.
Recording temperatures and maintenance checks where required.
Cleaning door seals and other serviceable components.
    Removing, cleaning and refitting filters.
    Completing maintenance records accurately.
Providing a professional and reliable service at customer premises.
    Who We're Looking For

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in doing a job well.

    You could be:

Looking for a stable role where hard work and reliability are genuinely valued.
Coming from an electrical, mechanical or engineering background and looking for a new challenge.
Starting your career and keen to learn a skilled trade.
Someone with a positive attitude, good practical ability and a willingness to learn.
    You'll ideally have:

A strong work ethic and dependable approach.
    Good practical and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, nights and weekends when required.
    Pride in delivering high-quality work.
A full UK driving licence (essential).
    Training & Career Development

Our client is committed to investing in the right people. Full training will be provided on their specialist equipment, giving you the opportunity to develop into a fully qualified Service Engineer over time.

Whether you're looking for a long-term, stable role or the chance to build a rewarding engineering career, this is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and expanding business.
