Duties
* Multi drop planning and managing daily transport operations for one of our largest customers, including route planning, fleet utilisation, and driver allocation.
* Ensuring full compliance with Drivers’ Hours, Working Time Directive, and tachograph legislation
* Managing and supporting a team of drivers, including performance, attendance, and day‑to‑day issues
* Identifying opportunities to reduce empty mileage, improve efficiency, and increase revenue through effective planning and backloads
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
* Using transport and telematics systems to manage performance, costs, and compliance
* Driving continuous improvement across safety, service, and profitability
Skills
* Proven experience in transport planning or transport operations
* Strong knowledge of Drivers’ Hours, tachographs, and WTD legislation
* Experience working with a fleet of 10+ vehicles (preferred)
* Confident people manager with excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Highly organised, able to prioritise and make decisions in a fast‑moving environment
* IT‑literate, with experience using TMS and telematics systems (Stream, Webfleet or similar)
* Commercially minded, with a focus on cost control and operational efficiency
