The Laundry Assistant ensures the supply of clean laundry to our residents and contributes to the provision of cleaning, laundry and domestic services to the home.

Ensuring the laundry of residents clothing is to the highest standard, including ironing.
Responsible for ensuring resident's laundry is collected and correctly labelled to ensure items are returned to the correct area of the home on a regular basis.
Ensure that the laundry equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Report any defect to the Maintenance Person. To comply with COSHH and Health & Safety regulations, ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and follow the correct use of colour code systems within the home.
Assist Homemakers to ensure that daily/weekly housekeeping tasks are completed when needed.
To maintain standards of infection control within the laundry area and generally within the home and to assist residents to maintain their own infection control needs.Could you be part of our team?
About You:
We're looking for people with great organisational and people skills to join our housekeeping team.
Previous demonstrable experience working in a role within a care home setting or similar environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A friendly and approachable demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents
