How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Design Manager - M&E

    📍 Aldgate, London | 5 Days a Week

    A leading M&E contractor in London is looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join their growing team.

    The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on some of the company's largest and most technically complex commercial and data centre projects, collaborating closely with the Design Engineering and Digital teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality design solutions.

    The Role

    The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating design activities throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with engineering, digital, project and construction teams.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Managing and coordinating M&E design activities across major projects
    Working closely with the Design Engineering and Digital teams
    Supporting the delivery of large-scale commercial and data centre projects
    Coordinating multidisciplinary design information and interfaces
    Working with consultants, clients, engineers and project teams
    Identifying and resolving design issues to maintain project programme and quality
    Ensuring design deliverables meet the required technical and commercial standards
    Supporting the successful transition from design through to construction

    The Candidate

    The ideal candidate will be an experienced M&E Design Manager with a strong technical background and experience working on large-scale, complex projects.

    Candidates should have:

    Proven experience in an M&E / building services Design Manager position
    Experience across commercial, data centre or similarly complex projects
    Strong design coordination and stakeholder management skills
    The ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and digital teams
    A strong understanding of the M&E design and construction process
    Excellent communication and organisational skills
