How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Established in 2000, our client is a geo-environmental consultancy and contractor.

The wealth of expertise encompasses the entire land development cycle, from initial planning issues through ground investigation to remediation design and delivery.

The two principal consultants each have over twenty-five years’ experience in identifying and addressing environmental and geotechnical ground hazards.

Their varied experience in the property industry means that we are also able to advise our clients about development implications, demolition constraints together with realistic and cost-effective remedial solutions.

With the knowledge that staff are the key to providing excellent customer service, they are committed to investment in training. Technical training is provided through exchange of knowledge within the organisation together with attendance at appropriate conferences and courses.

Through active involvement with the Contaminated Land Working Group of the Environment Industries Commission (EIC), they helps to influence the shaping of legislation and guidance that affects their areas of expertise.

They are looking for a new Geo Environmental consultant , preferably with a years’ (Can consider a keen graduate) experience in site investigations, for a mixed office and site role based out of Banbury.

Strengths in either geotechnical or geo-environmental of interest. All their site investigations are done in house employing sub-contract drillers. They tend to take projects through from initial desk study through to final validation of earthworks and/or remediation verification.

. Current projects range from coal mining area of Bristol, big remediation project in Northamptonshire to chalk solution features in Norwich. They are very much ‘hands on’ and get to see a whole variety of ground conditions.
