How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Managing change, compensation events and commercial risk
    Supporting procurement and tendering activities
Preparing valuations, cost reports and financial forecasts
Working closely with project teams, clients and key stakeholders
Contributing to the successful commercial delivery of major infrastructure programmes

    What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from Quantity Surveyors who are looking to develop their careers within the infrastructure sector.

    You'll ideally have:

Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure or a related sector
Experience working with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
    Good commercial and contractual understanding
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team
A proactive approach and genuine interest in developing your careerTravel to client and project sites may be required from time to time.

    What's In It For You?

You'll be joining a supportive environment that offers both flexibility and long-term career development, including:

    Salary up to £50,000
    Hybrid and flexible working
Enhanced pension - up to 10% employer contribution, with 5% employee contribution
25 days annual leave + bank holidays
    Funded professional training and development
    Support towards professional chartership
Exposure to multiple infrastructure sectors and major projects
Opportunities to develop your commercial and contractual expertise
The chance to build a long-term career within a growing infrastructure team

    Location & Working

The role is based in Exeter with a flexible hybrid working model, combining office, home and client/project-site working.
