How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Solar Project Manager

    Hybrid role - You can be based in or around the following areas: Plymouth, Modbury, Ivybridge, Saltash, Torpoint, Liskaerd, Looe, Tavistock, Totnes, Kingsbridge

    £45,000 - £55,000 + Training + Progression + Pooled Vehicle + Flexible Working + Autonomy to Run Own Diary + Pension + Holidays

    Are you a Project Manager with experience in solar, looking for more autonomy and the opportunity to take control of your own projects?

    Do you want to join an exciting part of a growing specialist's journey, where you will have the autonomy to manage projects while having the support of a wider group?

    This is a brilliant opportunity to become a key part of an exciting business operating within the construction and renewable energy space. Established for 12 years and backed by a UK wide renewable energy specialist, the company primarily provides PV installations within new-build construction, working with major blue-chip clients.

    With a small team and direct contact with senior leadership, you will have the opportunity to understand the business, take ownership of projects and play an important part in the continued growth of the company during this exciting phase in their journey.

    The ideal candidate will have project management experience within the solar industry, with an understanding of project costings, experience running solar projects and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and contractors.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager to develop their skillset and take control of their own projects within a growing specialist.

    The Role

    Project Manager responsible for managing solar projects
    Responsibilities range from liaising with teams and suppliers, managing materials and labour, coordinating with designers and professional M&E contractors, through to project management and client communication
    Primarily office based with some site visits required, providing autonomy to manage your own projects
    The Person

    Project Management experience within the solar industry
    Understanding of project costings and experience running projects
    Client-facing experience with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
    Full UK driving license
