How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: Up to £52,000 Depending on Experience

    Hours: Monday - Friday | 08:00 - 17:00

    THE ROLE
    As an Experienced Bodyshop MET Technician, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient removal, repair, replacement, and refitting of mechanical, electrical and trim components following accident damage. You'll work closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure vehicles are repaired to manufacturer standards and returned to customers in exceptional condition.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ·Strip and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components from accident-damaged vehicles.
    ·Carry out component replacement and repairs in line with manufacturer repair methods.
    ·Remove and refit engines, suspension, steering, braking, cooling and other mechanical components where required.
    ·Diagnose and rectify electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
    ·Remove and refit interior and exterior trim, lighting, sensors and associated components.
    ·Work closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, Estimators and Workshop Controllers to ensure efficient vehicle throughput.
    ·Carry out final checks to ensure vehicles are correctly rebuilt and all components are functioning correctly.
    ·Maintain excellent quality, productivity and Health & Safety standards throughout the repair process.

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced and technically capable MET Technician who can hit the ground running within a busy accident repair centre. You should take pride in producing high-quality work and have a strong understanding of modern vehicle construction and repair techniques.

    You will ideally have:
    ·Previous experience as an MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop.
    ·Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and trim systems.
    ·Experience stripping and rebuilding accident-damaged vehicles.
    ·Competent with mechanical component removal and refitting, electrical fault finding and trim removal/refitting.
    ·Good understanding of modern vehicle repair methods and manufacturer specifications.
    ·ATA, IMI, NVQ, VCQ or equivalent qualification advantageous but not essential for an experienced candidate.
    ·Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to first-time quality.
    ·Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment.
    ·Strong team player with a positive and professional attitude.
    ·Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
