The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of plant equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Operative will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, and decorating.
- Cooperate fully with management in respect of all Health & Safety compliance
- Conduct inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents or staff in a timely manner
- Keep accurate records of maintenance performed and materials used
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for larger repairs or installations
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of common areas and facilities
Requirements
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and heating systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic proficiency in English
