How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An independent food manufacturer located on the West side of Grantham, is looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their established engineering team.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a profitable, stable and growing business that continues to invest in its site, equipment and people.

    Monday to Friday – No Nights & No Weekends

    The role operates on a straightforward Monday to Friday double-day shift pattern, offering an excellent work-life balance:

    Week 1: 6am – 2pm
    Week 2: 2pm – 10pm
    No night shifts or weekend working
    This could be ideal for Maintenance Engineers currently working rotating shifts, nights or weekends who are looking for a better work-life balance.

    Engineers from other manufacturing sectors are also encouraged to apply, with the company having successfully recruited engineers from different industries.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Maintain production equipment to maximise uptime and output.
    Complete preventative and reactive maintenance.
    Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
    Monitor equipment performance and take corrective action.
    Support engineering projects, installations and equipment modifications.
    Work closely with production to minimise downtime.
    Experience Required:

    Qualified Maintenance Engineer – C&G, NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC or equivalent.
    Multi-skilled mechanical and electrical experience, ideally electrically biased.
    Apprenticeship trained.
    Confident working independently and proactively solving problems.
    Food manufacturing experience advantageous, but engineers from other sectors are welcome.
